The Second National Legionella conference was hosted by IPIQ and a range of industry sponsors in November at Sea World Resort on the Gold Coast. This two day event included workshops and presentations from Nationally recognised authorities in their different fields.

Speakers at the conference were addressing a wide range of issues facing Legionella control in the built environment. These included microbiology, water treatments and disinfection, design, sampling and processing and plumbing design. Hindmarsh Water Treatment presented the results of a two year field study of Legionella control and contamination in health and age care facilities across Australia.
